Biography
Darcy L. DiFede, RN,BSN: Director of Research Administration – Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute – University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (9/07 – Present). 2011 Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Beta Tau Community Leader. Currently is a board member on the Beta Tau Chapter for leadership Succession Committee. Over the past 4 years she has implemented 5 Investigator-initiated clinical trials of novel cell based therapies for heart disease, which together have enrolled over 100 patients (the largest single center experience in the US). In addition to extensive clinical trial research expertise, Ms DiFede lectures at the local nursing school, mentors medical students, undergraduate students and international nurses in clinical research. Ms. DiFede is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) and American Heart Association (AHA) since 2009. Most recently, she serves as a co-investigator for the Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network (CCTRN) steering committee through the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI). She has several publications in the area of Stem Cell research.

Pre-clinical and clinical trials related to stem cell therapies related to cardiology and vascular medicine.
