Biography
Dr. Khondoker M Akram received PhD in Biomedical Science from the Institute of Science and Technology in Medicine at Keele University, UK. Currently, he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Infection and Immunity at University of Sheffield.
Research Interest
Dr. Khondoker M Akram primary research interest is to study the mechanism of lung injury repair, pulmonary fibrosis, host-pathogen interaction and innate immunity. He is interested in stem cell mediated regenerative therapeutic approaches for the cure of lung diseases, such as COPD and IPF. He is also concentrating to develop complex 3D in vitro cell model for study of disease pathogenesis and pharmacological evaluation of new drugs with a vision to reduce pre-clinical animal uses.
